City of Palms

We are excited to feature Ellen Negley’s watercolors in our stores. Ellen’s watercolors are a reflection of her surroundings and as you probably have guessed, she lives in sunny, colorful Florida! Travel has also been an important influence in her paintings, and you will discover her love for many Florida destinations.

Over the last few years, Ellen has had her watercolors featured on several Florida fine art show posters, t-shirts, marketing material and magazine covers. We think you will have a difficult time choosing just the right watercolor to adorn your home since they are all so beautiful, but we’re sure you’ll find just the right one, or two!

This print of Fort Myers is named “City of Palms” which is also the name given to the city for obvious reasons. It’s really become a great destination for snowbirds and has a charming downtown with cobblestone streets and art deco buildings. Ellen painted this for ArtFest Fort Myers where it was featured as the show poster in 2015.
